Established July 28, 1837 as Diocese of Natchez. The name was changed to the Diocese of Natchez-Jackson on March 7, 1957. The Diocese of Natchez-Jackson was split into what is now known as the Diocese of Biloxi and the Diocese of Jackson on June 6, 1977.
'Catholic Radio Weekly' airs in Meridian, Mississippi on WMOX Radio AM 1010 6:30a-7a Sundays.
Catholic Radio Weekly, a half-hour radio program produced by the U.S. bishops’ Catholic Communication Campaign, airs across east Mississippi and west Alabama.
Veteran radio broadcasters Johnny Holiday and Carol Lehan, host of the Paulist program Sunday to Sunday, co-host the program.
In addition to news and interviews from the Catholic world, regular segments include media reviews by Gerri Pare and Anne Navarro, of the USCC Office for Film and Broadcasting, and Closer Look with Msgr. Jim Lisante talking on issues of faith with religious leaders and entertainers.
The program is being paid for by parishioners’ donations to the Catholic
Communication Campaign.
