A Message from Congressman Greg Harper
ByMany of you joined me at the Tea Party at the Mississippi State Capitol. I was
encouraged to see over 3,000 people in attendance, Mississippians who understand
we cannot borrow and spend our way back to prosperity. Folks throughout
Mississippi are making tough sacrifices to help weather this economic storm.
Families are tightening their belts, small businesses are cutting expenses, and
the federal government should be expected to do the same. There is a great deal
of wisdom in how the people across Mississippi and America have responded,
wisdom that unfortunately is in short-supply in Washington.

Dear Sir,
I have a question. Recently I contributed to one or two causes who sent me mail about their particular interests. Now it seems that every other cause has my name and wants money and support. While I am fairly confident that some of these are legitimate, I do not have any idea about others. I guess my question is how can you know if these are worthy, and can you be supportive without the deluge of junk mail? Not only is this irritating, but it takes a lot of time.
One thing I would like to know more about is the NAFTA SUPERHIGHWAY.
Also how may I contact your office in Pearl? Thanks, Helen Alderman
