Matt I am dumbfounded that so many people calling in are commenting about this loophole with Newton. First off Rogers claimed there were two assistant coaches/recruiters with himself and Cecil in November of 2009 the night before the State and Ole Miss game. Miss. St. did not turn in anything until one month later when Bond spoke with the AD. If coaches new about this and didn't turn in anything what will happen to State. Who were these two people. Next thing is in the so called loop hole in this case there is NO proof that money changed hands or agreed to change hands. In the future if a parent is going to solicit money from one school and go to another school the school that gives money before a kid signs is stupid. When money changes hands there is an infraction, doesn't matter what school the kid goes to. Don't compare the Reggie Bush case. Money or property changed hands therefore he was ineligible. Until something is proven that money changed hands there is no infraction...

MATT/SCOTT Are you interested in being a good Detective. Matt, I was always with you when you played for my Bullies. My cousin Red and I listen every day. The alias Jimmy Mack is my lifelong nickname given to me by my Coach, and alltime friend, the late David Bryan, Panola County Sheriff. I played football for South Panola and graduated in 1969. I've been in Tupelo area for 23 years. My cousin Red still lives in Batesville. He graduated from State and believe it or not I attended Ole Miss. My friend and classmate at Ole Miss was fullback Leon Perry. My 11 month old Grandson Jake was interviewed recently by Anna on WTVA. I'm definitely nobody important just a faithful fan of the show and never miss listening if I can help it. All in fun of course: I think Gator Greg finally got to Rebel fans on Trash Tues. so lets call Wed. "WHINY WEDNESDAY". Guys I'm pretty much an old prankster so don't be mad at me. Next time I won't be so lengthy. Thanks guys for a great show and the hard work it takes. You really make an old man's day go better. P.S. You may know my old friend "PING PONG" Charelston play by play man. Also the uniform comment made by Chris on 6 Aug., Chris, don't let the socks and big white shoes confuse you at the egg bowl. HA!

Matt you made fun of Ole Miss red uniforms, but they sure did
look good going into LSU yellow endzone last year over and over
also anyone from MSU can't comment towards uniforms, there practice
attire is ridiculous (maroon tites with black socks and huge white
shoes)

Matt,
I wasn't where I could call yesterday but I wanted to comment on what you said about the Bama fans at the Winfrey Hotel during SEC Media Days. Evidently you believe fan support is a negative or uncool or something other than positive. Which, now that I think about it I guess that makes sense since Bulldog fans can't fill up one of the smallest stadiums in the D1 football. And on a serious note, why can't Bulldog fans stay for the entire game or any event for that matter? I was at a very good Dierks Bentley concert a year ago at the Hump and a friend of mine who had never been to Starkville seriously thought the building was on fire when people started a mass exodus about 3 songs and 20 minutes shy of the end of the concert. So in short, what's up with that?
