Meridian Tea Party.com Update

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, September 1st, 2009. MeridianTeaParty.com will be sponsoring a Public Meeting/Workshop at the EMEPA Auditorium from 6:00pm to 8:30pm in preparation for the September 12th March On Washington. The March On Washington is drawing people from all over the country to stand in unison in the center of Washington D.C. and raise their voices as one. We know of approximately 20 people who are planning to go to Washington to represent Meridian & Lauderdale County and we plan hear from some these people as they explain why they are going and what they hope will be accomplished. We are asking that everyone who is planning to go to Washington to attend this workshop if possible. MeridianTeaParty.com would like to send them to Washington motivated and with the assurance that they have our support!

Additionally, we need everyone who has volunteered to work on any of the MeridianTeaParty.com committees to please attend this workshop. The second half of this meeting will be an opportunity for all of the committee chairs to meet with their members and to work on the promotion of the 9-12 Support Rally that will be held here in Meridian. All of our committees will be involved in the promotion of this event and we need your help!

The Public is invited to this Workshop so bring your friends and family out learn about MeridianTeaParty.com, support and promote the September 12th March On Washington, join a committee if you haven’t done so, and generally spend some quality time with like-minded individuals who are doing all they can to make Washington hear their voices!

In an effort to show local support for the September 12th March On Washington, MeridianTeaParty.com will be sponsoring a 9-12 Rally in Dumont Plaza on Saturday, September 12th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. The agenda for this meeting will focus on Health Care Reform and several local doctors are scheduled to speak including one from Chicago, one from Britian, and one from Canada.

The good doctors will be providing a good overview of the changes the American Health Care system will experience should Obamacare pass and become law. The 9-12 Rally will include special music, a Boy Scout Honor Guard, and lots of other surprises. We would love to have between 300 and 500 people attend, so if you can’t go to Washington, D.C., come join us and celebrate the March On Washington right here in Meridian, MS!
