Dear Bill:
Thank you for your courtesies in the past. Please announce, if you will, my decision NOT to seek re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives next year. It has been, and is, an honor to serve and I thank the voters of House District 84 for the opportunity. Many reasons informed my decision and taken together are simply this: My 10th grade son, and 7th grade daughter are growing up fast, and I don’t want to miss it.
I was elected on a promise to advocate 4 Principles: Limited Government, Individual Liberty, Economic Freedom, and Lower Taxes. I’m glad to report that my voting record proves the fulfillment of that promise. The upcoming session will be no different.
I make this announcement now so potential candidates have time to prepare for the election next year. I could think of no better or more powerful media outlet that “The Morning Show” to do so.
Thank you,
Tad Campbell
