The Young Professionals of Meridian (YPM) will be joining forces with the Meridian Chapter of Public Relations Association of Mississippi (PRAM) to host a meet and greet with the District 82 Mississippi House of Representative candidates. This will be YPM’s fifth such event and the second to partner with PRAM. “PRAM has been a huge help with pulling this event together, and we are looking forward to a successful event,” said Russell Keene, Enhancement Committee Chair. This event will take place on June 4, 2009, at 5:15 p.m. in the conference rooms of the Hilton Garden Inn of Meridian. The public is invited to attend.
The event is split into three portions, the first being a social gathering allowing the public time to mingle with the candidates. The second portion allows the candidates time to address the audience and deliver their prepared message. The third and final portion is a question and answer segment.
The late Charles Young Sr. represented District 82 for twenty-nine years. As a senior statesman, he represented the Meridian and Lauderdale County area with honor and dignity. This is why YPM and PRAM feel it is such an important election and would like to encourage the residents of District 82 to vote in this special election on June 9th. We would also like to encourage the public to vote in the municipal elections on June 2nd.
