Mississippi State University Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts is featured on Walt Grayson’s “Look Around Mississippi”

The Weekly Program Highlights Our State’s Unique Assets

Meridian, MS—Weekly, Walt Grayson takes viewers on a “Look Around Mississippi” via a weekly program that first airs on WLBT-TV in Jackson, Mississippi. His segment explores the unique assets of Mississippi and is syndicated for air on other stations across the state, including WABG (Delta), WDAM (Hattiesburg/Laurel), WLOX (Biloxi, Gulfport, Pascagoula) WTOK (Meridian), WTVA (Tupelo-Columbus). This week, the Mississippi State University Riley Center for Education and Performing Arts is featured on the segment. Grayson takes viewers back in time comparing pre-restoration images of the center’s Grand Opera House theatre to the meticulously restored, premiere performing arts venue it is today.

“Walt Grayson is a widely known and trusted source across the state. For someone of Walt’s caliber to call attention to this center and the unique asset it is for all Mississippians to be proud of and enjoy is wonderful,” said Penny Kemp, marketing director for MSU Riley Center. “We are working very hard here to provide culturally enriching educational and performing arts programming along with conferencing capabilities that enhance the quality of life and economic possibilities in this area and across the state. The more we can educate people in our own state about what a tremendous asset the MSU Riley Center is, the better.”

Walt Grayson also host Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s “Mississippi Roads” program, which featured the MSU Riley Center earlier this year.  More information about Walt Grayson may be found here

Meridian and Starkville residents can see “Look Around Mississippi” weekly on Sunday night’s during the 10 pm news broadcast on WTOK-TV and WTVA-TV, respectively.
